9. Refund and Return policy

9.1 Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 60 days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period will expire after 60 days from the day of the conclusion of the contract.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (for example a letter sent by post, fax, or email). Our contact details can be found below. You may use the attached model withdrawal form, but it is not obligatory.

If you use this option, we will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a withdrawal on a durable medium (for example by email) without delay.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

9.2 Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.

If you requested to begin the performance of services during the withdrawal period, you shall pay us an amount which is in proportion to what has been provided until you have communicated to us your withdrawal from this contract, in comparison with the full coverage of the contract.

Please note that there are some legal exceptions to the right to withdraw, and some items can therefore not be returned or exchanged.  We will let you know if this applies in your particular case.

10. Idea submission

Do not submit any ideas, inventions, works of authorship, or other information that can be considered your own intellectual property that you would like to present to us unless we have first signed an agreement regarding the intellectual property or a non-disclosure agreement. If you disclose it to us absent such written agreement, you grant to us a worldwide, irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, store, adapt, publish, translate and distribute your content in any existing or future media.

11. Termination of use

These Terms and Conditions will be interpreted and construed exclusively in English. All notices and correspondence will be written exclusively in that language.

21. Entire agreement

These Terms and Conditions, together with our privacy statement and cookie policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Investec Group Sp.z o.o. in relation to your use of this website.

22. Updating of these Terms and conditions

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. It is your obligation to periodically check these Terms and Conditions for changes or updates. The date provided at the beginning of these Terms and Conditions is the latest revision date. Changes to these Terms and Conditions will become effective upon such changes being posted to this website. Your continued use of this website following the posting of changes or updates will be considered notice of your acceptance to abide by and be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

23. Choice of Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of Poland. Any disputes relating to these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Poland. If any part or provision of these Terms and Conditions is found by a court or other authority to be invalid and/or unenforceable under applicable law, such part or provision will be modified, deleted and/or enforced to the maximum extent permissible so as to give effect to the intent of these Terms and Conditions. The other provisions will not be affected.

Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern your use of the services provided by Investec Group Sp. z o.o., also known as Investec Akademia (“Investec,” “we,” or “us”). By accessing or using our services, including but not limited to courses, accommodations, and other related services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of this Agreement, you must not use our services.

2. Definitions

– “Investec” refers to Investec Group Sp. z o.o., also known as Investec Akademia, with its head office located at ul. Dworcowa 4/40, 39-300 Mielec.

– “Campus” refers to the two language campuses located at ul. Kawaleryjska 28/104, 15-324 Białystok, and ul. Rynek 8, 39-320 Przecław.

– “Customer,” “you,” or “your” refers to the individual or entity using our services.

– “Registration fee” refers to the €100 fee paid at the time of registration, which is non-refundable.

– “Invoice” refers to the document issued by Investec detailing the fees and charges for the services requested by the customer.

3. Registration and Payment

3.1. To access our services, you must complete the registration process and pay the registration fee.

3.2. All payments, including the booking and receipt of invoice payment, must be made in full by bank transfer or through our online payment system via Stripe.

3.3. Investec does not store your credit card or debit card data.

Refund and Appointment Rescheduling Policy for Investec Akademia:

At Investec Akademia, we understand that securing appointments at the Polish embassy can sometimes be challenging due to high demand or unforeseen circumstances. We want to assure our students that their interests are protected, and we have established the following policy:

No Appointments Available at the Polish Embassy:

If you are unable to secure an appointment at the Polish embassy in your home country or country of residence, please promptly inform Akademia by contacting our support team at akademia@investecgroup.pl.

Rescheduling to the Next Intake:

Upon receiving the notification of the unavailability of appointments, we will reschedule your admission to the next available intake without any additional charges or penalties. We understand that this situation may be beyond your control, and we want to ensure you have the opportunity to join our Akademia at the earliest convenience.

Communication and Documentation:

To initiate the rescheduling process, we request you to provide us with the relevant communication or documentation from the Polish embassy confirming the unavailability of appointments. This information will help us verify the situation and facilitate a smooth transition to the next intake.

Timely Notification:

Please ensure that you inform Akademia about the appointment unavailability as soon as possible, allowing us sufficient time to process your rescheduling request and make the necessary arrangements.

4. Cancellation and Refunds (check if course change is applied  read the policy carefuly)

4.1. In the event that you cancel your booking, the following refund policy will apply:

– Cancellations made 30 days prior to the course or accommodation start date (whichever comes first) will be eligible for a refund of 75%, excluding non-refundable charges such as registration fees, visa assistance, medical insurance fees (if applicable), and administration charges.

– Cancellations made 14 days prior to the arrival date will be eligible for a refund of 60% of the invoice amount, excluding non-refundable charges and accommodation cancellation fees.

– Cancellations made 7 days prior to the arrival date will be eligible for a refund of 50% of the invoice amount, excluding non-refundable charges and accommodation cancellation fees.

– Cancellations made 3 days prior to the arrival date will be eligible for a refund of 0% of the invoice amount, excluding non-refundable charges and accommodation cancellation fees.

– Cancellations made 2 days prior to the arrival date and “no shows” will not be eligible for a refund.

– Hotel accommodation cancellations made 28 days prior to the arrival date will not be eligible for a refund.

4.2. For host family accommodation, availability will only be guaranteed for the first 48 hours following a request.

4.3. Lessons missed due to illness or pre-planned holidays during the course will not be replaced or refunded.

4.4. Investec reserves the right to modify the refund policy in exceptional circumstances, which will be communicated to the customer.

4.5. If your visa application is denied, we will issue a complete refund of your paid fees, with a deduction of 200 Euro as a service fee. To initiate the refund process, please follow these steps:

a. Within 5 business days of receiving your visa refusal letter, scan and email it to akademia@investecgroup.pl, along with your full name and student ID (if applicable).

b. We will verify the refusal letter and process your refund request within 180 days.

Please note that this policy applies only to cases where a visa has been denied, and we reserve the right to request additional documentation, if needed, for verification purposes. The refund process does not cover any bank charges incurred during currency conversion. If your bank or an intermediary bank deducts any amount while converting currencies, the candidate will be responsible for bearing those charges.

We aim to ensure a smooth and hassle-free refund process for our students while providing the necessary support during challenging times. If you have any questions or require further assistance, feel free to reach out to our support team at akademia@investecgroup.pl.

Refund Amount:

If a student’s visa application is denied by the relevant authorities, we will refund the total program fees paid, excluding the Value Added Tax (VAT) of 23%.

VAT Refund Eligibility:

The 23% VAT amount is also eligible for a refund, subject to the following conditions:

The student must provide valid proof of the visa denial from the respective embassy or consulate.

The VAT refund will only be processed after a waiting period of 180 days from the date of visa denial. This waiting period allows for the possibility of any visa appeal processes or additional documentation submissions.

How to Request a Refund:

To initiate the refund process, the student or their authorized representative must inform Investec Akademia Poland’s administration office immediately upon receiving the visa denial. They will guide you through the necessary steps and request the required documents for verification purposes.

Refund Processing Time:

Once all the necessary documents are received and verified, we will process the refund within [180 business days]. Please note that it may take additional time for the funds to reflect in your account, depending on your payment method and financial institution.

Conditions for Eligibility:

The refund policy is applicable only to students enrolled in programs at Investec Akademia Poland.

The visa denial must be from the official government agency responsible for processing student visas for Poland.

Any false information or misrepresentation during the visa application process may result in the forfeiture of the refund eligibility.

The student is responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date information during the visa application process.

Non-Refundable Fees:

Please be aware that certain non-refundable fees, such as application fees or administrative charges, may apply. These will be communicated to students during the enrollment process. If your visa application is denied, we will issue a complete refund including VAT in 180 days and your paid fees, with a deduction of 200 Euro as a service fee.

In the event that a student’s visa application is not accepted due to any shortcomings in their provided documents, Investec Akademia offers the following procedure for addressing this situation:

Immediate Contact: If a student’s visa application is declined due to any lack of documents from their side, it is advised that they promptly get in touch with Investec Akademia via email at akademia@investecgroup.pl. It is crucial to provide a comprehensive overview of the situation.

Change of Semester Application: Students who face a visa rejection are encouraged to apply for a change of semester. This process allows them to defer their enrollment to either the November 2023 or May 2024 academic session.

Updated Supporting Documents: To facilitate a successful visa application for the new semester, students will need to prepare updated supporting documents as required for visa processing.

Courier Service Cost: As part of the change of semester process, students will need to resend the necessary documents through courier services. The cost for this courier service is 120 Euro.

Communication of Semester Change: Investec Akademia will keep the student informed via email about the progress of their change of semester application. Updates will be provided at each significant stage of the process.

Flexibility in Semester Change: Students have the flexibility to change their semester at any time. However, the change needs to be addressed according to the specified procedure to ensure a smooth transition.

Investec Akademia – Course Change Refund Policy

Introduction

This Course Change Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions associated with course changes for students enrolled at Investec Akademia. A course change refers to altering the originally chosen course year or intake semester due to valid reasons. Students are encouraged to read and understand this policy carefully to comprehend the charges and processes related to course changes.

1. Course Change Fee

In the event that a student applies for a course change that results in a change of the course year or intake semester, a fee of 180 euros will be levied. This fee is intended to cover administrative and processing costs associated with the course change.

2. Non-Refundable Tuition Fees

Please take note that, once a course change is applied, the tuition fees for the originally enrolled course become non-refundable. Students will not be eligible for a refund of the tuition fees paid for the course they were initially enrolled in.

3. Subsequent Course Changes

If a student wishes to make another course change following the initial change, there will be no additional charges for the course change itself. However, the student will be responsible for the courier charges associated with sending new documents, such as updated transcripts or admission letters, if required. These courier charges will be determined based on the current rates at the time of the change.

4. Application Process

To apply for a course change, students must adhere to Investec Akademia’s official course change process. This process may involve submitting a normal request. 

5. Refund Processing Time

Refunds for course change fees is not possible. However, please be aware that processing times may vary depending on administrative workload and other factors. if no fee is paid the charges will be charged from a tution fee.
